Profil
Italian Lorenzo Baldassarri first started in the Italian Minibike Championship in 2004, before heading to the national MiniGP 50cc Metrakit championship in 2007, which he won. 2008 then saw him take part in the Mediterraneo Spanish Championship Challenger 80cc Metrakit class where he came eighth, and in 2010 he took to the Pre GP 125cc Catalan Championship where he was runner-up. 2011 proved to be a tremendous year for Baldassarri, as he won the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies cup, taking two wins and six podiums along the way. In 2012, he came eighth in the Spanish CEV Bucker Moto3 Championship, although could not repeat his Red Bull Rookie feat, finishing the year also in eighth. For 2013 he steps up to the world stage, as he contests the Moto3 World Championship with the Gresini squad.
