Grande recupero, dopo una FP1 non brillantissima, di Lorenzo Baldassarri. Per il primatista della categoria, portacolori del team Flexbox HP 40 il terzo tempo precedendo il collega di box Augusto Fernandez.
Esordio positivo con i colori (Petronas Sprinta Racing) e positivo ritorno in sella ad una Kalex per Mattia Pasini che chiude le prime cinque posizioni.
Andrea Locatelli è stato il primatista della FP1, per il pilota del team Italtrans Racing il settimo crono mentre il miglior rookie è il suo collega di box Enea Bastianini che segna il decimo tempo davanti a Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46).
