Bulega renews with SKY Racing Team VR46 for two years

The young Italian has announced he will remain in his current position for the 2017 and 2018 seasons as he hunts the Moto3™ World Championship title.

After the first seven Grands Prix of 2016, Nicolo Bulega (SKY Racing Team VR46) has been renewed with the team for two more years. The decision comes after a strong start to his rookie season after stepping up as the Moto3™ Junior World Champion. Highlights of the season include a pole position followed by a second place in Jerez.

Bulega will continue the path set out in 2014 to help support talented young Italian riders: “It is definitely a very important stage of my young career,” said Bulega, “This vote of confidence comes from a team that has believed in me since the beginning. I feel part of a great family that support me in this important adventure in the Moto3 class. I am proud of this news but we are not even halfway through the season and it is important to maintain a high level of concentration to get the most from each round.”
