Leopard Racing announce Aegerter and Kent for Moto2™ 2017

Swiss veteran joins 2015 Moto3™ World Champion in the intermediate class team, with a switch from Kalex to Suter

Leopard Racing have announced their rider lineup for 2017, with current rider Danny Kent remaining in the team – and his new Moto2™ teammate set to be Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter. 2017 will also see the team switch to a Suter chassis, from their current Kalex, as Suter return to the paddock.

Kent won the Moto3™ World Championship with the team last season and will remain onboard for 2017, with a season best of P6 in 2016 and the Brit looking to make inroads next season.

As Miguel Oliveira leaves the squad for the new Red Bull KTM Ajo intermediate category effort, experienced Swiss rider Dominique Aergerter moves in. Aegerter, who is a GP winner following his 2014 Sachsenring victory in Moto2™, is currently recovering from a crash in training but will be back to full strength soon – and ready for a new challenge after many seasons with his current team, CarXpert Interwetten.

Miodrag Kotur, COO Leopard Racing: “I am very happy with the partnership with Suter that will begin with the season 2017. We have confidence in the know-how and the desire Suter have to be competitive when they return with our riders and our structure. Leopard Racing wants to engage deeply in the World Championship and take the necessary steps to fight with the best for the title. Team Manger Stefan Kiefer, who is already working to strengthen the team with senior technicians.”

Eskil Suter, Owner Suter Racing Technology: “Primarily we are looking forward to cooperate with such ambitious and well-structured partners as Leopard and Kiefer.
