Bagnaia and Pawi on top in Warm Up

Front row starter and home hero fastest in first session on race day

With morning conditions leaving the track mostly dry with some moisture in places, it was front row starter Francesco Bagnaia (Pull&Bear Aspar Mahindra) who topped the timesheets in Warm Up, with local rider Khairul Idham Pawi (Honda Team Asia) in second and reigning World Champion Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in third.

Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Jorge Navarro and Leopard Racing’s Andrea Locatelli locked out the top five, ahead of Tatsuki Suzuki (CIP-Unicom Starker, Niccolo Antonelli (Ongetta-Rivacold) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing Moto3).

Leopard Racing pair Fabio Quartararo and Joan Mir completed the top ten, with times only a second faster than those in the full wet qualifying session on Saturday.
