But the rider from Coventry then suffered a big moment at the end of the lap, missing out and remaining P4 on the session.
Maverick Viñales’ (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) difficult weekend in the wet at Motegi continued, as the title challenger was fourth fastest and misses out on Q2 entry.
