Martin the man to beat in FP1

The Spaniard goes quickest on a dirty COTA track ahead of Bastianini and Migno

Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) got his weekend off to the perfect start on a dusty track at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) was the closest challenger in the opening session of the weekend, a slender 0.140 seconds back. Fellow Italian Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3) was just a further 0.006 seconds back from the number 33, with Argentina race winner Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PrustelGP) getting his Grand Prix off to a solid start in fourth.

Championship leader Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) rounded out the top five in FP1, with rookie Jaume Masia (Bester Capital Dubai) continuing to impress in sixth.
