Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) was the fastest man in Moto2™ FP1 at the Motul TT Assen, setting a 1:38.219 to end the session 0.194 quicker than second place Andrea Locatelli (Italtrans Racing Team), with Catalan GP winner Fabio Quartararo (Lightech – Speed Up Racing) rounding out the top three.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was the leading KTM rider in the morning session, finishing 0.352 off Bagnaia’s benchmark, with Italian Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) fifth on board his Kalex machine.
Sixth quickest Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) suffered a crash at Turn 10 early in the session, rider ok, with Danny Kent (Lightech – Speed Up Racing) having a solid opening session at Assen – the British rider was seventh on the timesheets.
The intermediate class will be back on track for FP2 at 15:05 local time (GMT +2).
