Schroetter takes charge in Moto2™ Warm Up

The German starts P2 for the race, beating Baldassarri and Corsi in Sunday morning’s session

After qualifying second, Marcel Schroetter (Dynavolt Intact GP) topped the morning Warm Up timesheets at the Motul TT Assen in the intermediate class, beating Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) – who starts P13 – by 0.059 and Simone Corsi (Tasca Racing Scuderia Moto2).

British rider Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors) will start from P6 in the race, he was fourth fastest in Warm Up, with rookie Joan Mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) fifth quickest on Sunday morning – the reigning Moto3™ World Champion launches from ninth.

Assen pole man and Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) finished the session eighth, 0.353 behind Schroetter.

Augusto Fernandez (Pons HP40) was a late faller at the Geert Timmer chicane – rider ok.
