Schrötter leads Lüthi and Lowes in Warm Up

German rider fastest in the Moto2™ class on Sunday morning as conditions remained dry in Argentina

Marcel Schrötter (Dynavolt Intact GP) topped morning Warm Up at the Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina in Moto2™, setting a lap quicker than pole position with a 1:42.693 to put him 0.321 ahead of teammate Tom Lüthi.

Conditions were dry after overnight rain sprinkled the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, with Sam Lowes (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) matching his qualifying position with P3 in Warm Up, the British rider 0.384 off P1. Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) ended the session fourth quickest, with the South African and Remy Gardner (ONEXOX TKKR SAG Team) four tenths off Schrötter.

American Joe Roberts (American Racing KTM) and Andrea Locatelli (Italtrans Racing Team) both crashed at Turn 13 in Warm Up – riders ok.

The Moto2™ race gets underway at 13:20 local time (GMT-3).
