Lewis Hamilton: “MotoGP™ are fighting corner to corner”

Four-time world champion discusses the “fundamental issues” of racing in F1 and wants it to be more like MotoGP™

According to, current standings leader and four-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has said rule changes need to be made to the sport in order for the competition and racing to be closer – similar to that seen in MotoGP™.

The British driver spoke to the media after finishing third at the Circuit of the Americas, a track the MotoGP™ paddock also visit: “That's a fundamental issue of the sport. There shouldn't be such a big difference between first and last, there shouldn't be such a massive difference between cars,” explained the 33-year-old.

He continued: “It's got the potential to be the greatest racing series there is, but you look at MotoGP™ and they are wheel to wheel, fighting from corner to corner.”
