After 26 seasons, nine world titles and millions of fans gained across the globe, Valentino Rossi (Petronas Yamaha SRT) is getting ready for his last MotoGP™ dance at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – a track located just 20 minutes from his hometown of Tavullia.
The poster for the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna has been created by Aldo Drudi, a famous designer that has worked with Rossi and other riders to create unique and symbolic helmet designs. Now, Drudi has designed the poster that signifies Rossi’s MotoGP™ farewell on home soil, ahead of his final two races in Portimao and Valencia.
Talking to Sky Sport MotoGP, Drudi explained the details of the poster for the Emilia-Romagna GP: "The goal is to celebrate Valentino on his home circuit, in front of his Italian fans, it’s a tribute. The predominant colour is yellow, the only subject on the poster is Rossi, in a different position than usual: it is not a racing position, it is not exultation, but an intimate greeting, with the audience in the background. A glorious chapter closes and the story opens up to something else."
