The National Sports Council of Spain (CSD), a government agency responsible for the promotion, planning and development of physical culture and sports activities of any kind, have released a statement to say they are working closely with Dorna Sports to try and bring back MotoGP™ in the summer.

Dorna CEO expects Spanish government’s verdict “next week”

"The Government is aware of the importance of motorcycling for Spanish sport, the relevance that society attaches to it and its enormous impact on the reputation of our country, not only from a sports point of view, but also for its innovation and the development of new technologies,” said Irene Lozano, President of the CSD.

Lozano, Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation President Manuel Casado recently held a videocall meeting to discuss the protocol for strengthening health and transport of athletes and team members. All parties are working hard to try and bring MotoGP™ back in July.
