It appears as though the final pieces to the 2021 MotoGP™ puzzle are finally starting to take shape, in particular when it comes to factory seats. Sky Sports Italia, MotoGP™'s Italian broadcaster partner, are reporting that current Ducati Team rider Danilo Petrucci has been in Austria over the past few days to continue talks with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing about replacing Pol Espargaro, who looks set to join Repsol Honda.

Petrucci's negotiations with the Austrian factory also indicate that Andrea Dovizioso will be partnering Jack Miller in the factory Ducati garage from next season, despite being continually linked with a move to KTM. However, just because the 2019 Italian Grand Prix winner has been in Mattighofen for talks, that doesn't mean a deal is done and you can expect to see the Italian in orange come the opening round of 2021. Sky Sports Italia is also reporting that Aprilia remains an option for him in 2021, but the Noale factory are currently waiting on the outcome of their contracted rider Andrea Iannone's suspension appeal.
One thing is for certain though, the 2021 picture, when it comes to factory seats, is starting to become a little less hazy. Yamaha are locked in, Suzuki are locked in, but now it looks like both Honda are locked in, with Marquez and Espargaro, and Ducati are locked in, with Miller and Dovizioso. Of course, nothing is official just yet when it comes to those remaining MotoGP™ seats, so stick to motogp.com over the coming weeks and months for all the official news as soon as it is released.
