“The patient arrived with a displaced clavicle fracture of the sternal end, therefore it was a little more complicated. We reduced it, we put a metal plate in to stabilise and now it will be a quick job to get back on the bike immediately. From a clinical point of view, the conditions are excellent.”
The big question is will Dovizioso be ready for the opening round of the 2020 MotoGP™ season on the 19th of July? According to Prof. Porcellini, the Ducati star will be able to make it.
“With Fabrizio Borra, his physiotherapist, we had already planned a physiotherapy cycle to make sure he’s as ready as possible. Last time he returned to racing after 21 days. From a muscular point of view, he will make it, motorcycle racers have something more, they endure the pain better, so I think he will make it.”
