Former 125cc rider Andrea Ballerini has the opportunity to become Red Bull KTM's test rider in the 250cc category as of the Alice Grand Prix de France, Team Coordinator Francesco Guidotti has confirmed.

Former 125cc rider Andrea Ballerini has the opportunity to become Red Bull KTM's test rider in the 250cc category as of the Alice Grand Prix de France, Team Coordinator Francesco Guidotti has confirmed. If all goes well at the post-race test, then he will be offered a spot in their testing programme for 2007.

Ballerini competed in 125cc for seven years, having made his debut in 1995 and taken his only win in the category back in 2003. He finished 17th in the 2006 250cc World Championship with a total of 24 points.
