Simoncelli speaks at Milanese motorshow

250cc World Champion joins 125cc titlist Mike di Meglio in attending EICMA exhibition.

The Piaggio Group made its presence felt at the EICMA motorshow in Milan on Tuesday, bringing their lower cylinder category World Champions Marco Simoncelli and Mike di Meglio to the Italian event for the presentation of new bike models soon to be unleashed on the market.

Piaggio, Vespa, Scarabeo, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Gilera and Derbi are all brands run by the group, meaning that 250cc titlist Simoncelli and 125cc champ Di Meglio had plenty to look at in their Milanese visit. Metis Gilera rider Simoncelli had a busy schedule to keep, attending a press conference to talk to the Italian media about his 2008 glory.

Also in attendance were 125cc World Championship runner-up Simone Corsi and ex-MotoGP rider Shinya Nakano, now embarking on a new stage of his career as part of Aprilia´s return to superbike racing.

The EICMA exhibition runs until Sunday, November 9th.
