Fonsi Nieto happy to be back

Fonsi Nieto happy to be back

The Madrid-based rider is at the Montmeló test with his G22 HolidayGym team, where he has already completed his first laps on the Moriwaki chassis.

Fonsi Nieto started work with the G22 HolidayGym team on Wednesday at the Circuit de Catalunya, where he is riding the Moriwaki chassis that he will campaign the inaugural Moto2 season with.

Completing a handful of laps late on in day one after wet conditions played a part, Nieto was delighted to be back on a World Championship bike.

“I’m very happy to be here again in a new category,” Nieto told “The first day hasn’t been so lucky with the weather but I hope there is sun for Thursday and we can put in a lot of laps to improve the bike. Everything is new for me and I am happy to be here.”

Nieto is attending the test alongside team-mate Yannick Guerra, riding for the team structure directed by his cousins Pablo and Gelete Nieto, and continues his work on the Moriwaki bike today (Thursday).
