Times of India: Mahindra to participate in 125cc class in 2011

Mahindra & Mahindra will participate the 125cc World Championship with a new team in 2011, making it the first Indian company to enter the competition according to the Times of India.

The team will field two riders and the technical structure will be formed alongside Italian firm Engines Engineering, which in recent years has developed prototypes with Malaguti, Loncin and most recently Lambretta. The possibility of a MotoGP round at the new Noida circuit in 2012 has heightened interest in the sport in India, and has also aided the development of the project.
