WTR-Ten10 Racing unveil 125cc line-up

Indian prospect Sarath Kumar and Italian youngster Francesco Mauriello will be the talented pairing who will front the exciting new team’s 2011 challenge in the World Championship.

After an announcement in November that the WTR Team and Ten10 Racing would combine forces in 2011 for entry into the 125cc World Championship, confirmation of the two-rider line-up which will carry the set-up’s challenge followed this week.

Italian National 125cc Champion in 2010 Francesco Mauriello will make his World Championship debut with WTR-Ten10 Racing, as the 16 year-old from Napoli takes the next step in his promising career.

As stated in November the team will also field an Indian rider in a first for the World Championship, and 18 year-old Chennai native Sarath Kumar will make his debut in the 125cc class in 2011. Kumar, who was presented to the Indian media in a press conference in Mumbai during which the three-year collaboration between WTR and Ten10 Racing was also made official, arrives on the World stage having been crowned 2010 165cc Champion in his homeland.

The three-year partnership agreement between WTR and Ten10 Racing is structured to continue into the new Moto3 class in 2012, and also has intentions to compete in the Moto2 category in the future.
