Pedrosa leads again in Brno warm up

The Repsol Honda rider led the twenty minute warm up session Sunday morning ahead of the Cardion ab Grand Prix České republiky race, in front of Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies.

Dani Pedrosa, who starts from his first pole position of the season, led the premier class warm up with a time of 1’56.675, over half a second quicker than second place starter and 2010 Brno race winner Lorenzo and eight tenths quicker than fourth place starter Spies.

Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini Team) and Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda) posted the fourth and fifth fastest times of the session, and were the final riders within a second of the top time set by Pedrosa.

Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda) and Álvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki) were sixth and seventh in the session, with Cal Crutchlow the first Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider in the timings and Nicky Hayden the first Ducati Team rider of the session.

Colin Edwards (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) completed the top ten, ahead of Valentino Rossi (Ducati Team) who followed 1.768s behind Pedrosa. The Italian will start the race from the second row, his best qualifying position of the season.
