With the Moto2™ and Moto3™ bikes sharing the track until 2pm local time, after which each has a short individual session, Italian Claudio Corti (Italtrans) was the quickest of the intermediate category riders with a best time of 1’42.120, the fastest lap of the test so far but just 0.010s ahead of Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock GP) in second.

In Moto3™ Maverick Viñales (Avintia Racing Moto3) continued to lead the way. The young Spaniard had a crash late in the morning from which he emerged unscathed, and his best effort of 1’46.838 made him the only rider in the category under 1’47” by 2pm local time. Zulfahmi Khairuddin (AirAsia-SIC-Ajo), Sandro Cortese (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Alberto Moncayo (Bankia Aspar Team) and Niccolò Antonelli (San Carlo Gresini Moto3) completed the top five, with Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI) sixth.

Kent, Alan Techer and Efrén Vázquez all had crashes without consequences.
