Final day of Jerez testing a washout

Final day of Jerez testing a washout

It was only Ducati Team’s Nicky Hayden who put in some laps in the final day of testing at Jerez today, as rain, wind and cold temperatures hit the southern Spanish circuit.

Ducati, Pramac Racing and the Avintia Blusens team, who were all sharing the track for the three-day test, remained in their garages, apart from Hayden, who did fewer than ten laps before coming back in.

The adverse weather conditions also deterred teammate Andrea Dovizioso, who was still suffering from his muscle problem in his neck. He will undergo surgery on Tuesday to remove a plate from his collarbone, and will next be on track at the Sepang test next February.

Neither Andrea Iannone, the premier class rookie with the Pramac Racing team, or the Avintia Blusens duo of Héctor Barberá and Hiroshi Aoyama, reached for their leathers today, but all highlighted the good work done in the two days before when good weather graced the track.
