Pirro to sub for Spies as Biaggi tests Ducati

Ducati Team test rider Michele Pirro will again cover for the injured Ben Spies as MotoGP™ continues in Barcelona next weekend. In the meantime, ex rider Max Biaggi is set to enjoy an outing on the Pramac Racing bike at Mugello.

Biaggi will again experience the sensations of a MotoGP machine this week, as he pilots the Pramac Desmosedici in a two-day test at Mugello on Thursday and Friday. The Italian was four times a 250 title winner between 1994 and 1997.

Ducati has also confirmed to motogp.com that Pirro will replace Spies for the upcoming Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya, as he first did at the French Grand Prix last month.
