De Angelis laps Misano on Pramac Ducati

Alex de Angelis got a taste of the Pramac Ducati he will be riding in the Laguna Seca race during a test at the Misano circuit, where he was riding alongside Pramac team regular Andrea Iannone the last two days.

The San Marino rider spent two days on the Desmosedici GP13 at the circuit close to his home, posting a best time of 1’37.0 after 76 laps. He will replace the injured Ben Spies in the Pramac team as the grid heads to the USA for the Laguna Seca race directly after Germany.

Also on track was Energy T.I. Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone, who spent time on the GP13 'Lab bike', which he hopes to use as early as the Sachsenring in just over a week’s time. He posted a best lap of 1’35.1.

De Angelis commented on his outing: "I had so much fun, it was super positive. MotoGP bikes are very powerful. I’m very happy with my day because in each outing we improved the lap time. This, besides having fun, was the objective and I would say that we have achieved that. I take this opportunity to thank Ducati, the Ignite Pramac Racing Team and NGM Mobile Forward Racing for giving me the opportunity to get this wealth of experience."
