NGM Mobile Forward Racing pair happy with Indy race

The tenth round of the season came to an end at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with both NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team riders Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti in the top 15.

The American and Italian met their goals for the weekend, finishing in the points and coming home as the second and third best non-prototype riders at the famous U.S. venue.

After qualifying as best non-prototype rider, Edwards battled with Aleix Espargaro and was close to the Spaniard’s lap times during the race with his FTR – Kawasaki bike, eventually finishing 13th.

“It was a good day and I gave everything I had. I had a good start, felt good through the race, had a couple big moments with a Jerez type save, got it on the knee and had to bring it back. At the end of the day we got some points and we are getting a little bit closer step by step,” explained Edwards.

Meanwhile, his teammate Claudio Corti is still having some difficulty during the first half of races, but performed better during the latter stages. He came home 14th.

Corti stated, “At the beginning of the race with a full tank I was having some trouble with the front, had problems with the steering and almost lost the front twice, making me lose Colin. Had it not been for this I could have been in the battle for best CRT.”

“We leave now for Brno in the hope that this second half of the season continues going in this direction.”
