Krummenacher on sidelines, Mulhauser covers

Krummenacher on sidelines, Mulhauser covers

There has been another change to the rider line-up ahead of the Moto2™ race at MotorLand Aragon, as Randy Krummenacher will not be able to ride this weekend.

Following a crash at Silverstone four weekends ago, Krummenacher has been complaining of recurrent pains in the head and neck. He was allowed to race last time out at Misano following examination in the Clinica Mobile, but was not on top form and was displaying flu symptoms.

With these ‘worrying health concerns’ in mind, according to a Technomag carXpert press release, Krummenacher underwent further medical checks in Zurich after which doctors diagnosed concussion linked to the Silverstone crash.

‘The entire Technomag carXpert team looks forward to his return and wishes him a speedy recovery,’ reads a message from the team. ‘We are appreciative of what he achieved during the two races following the crash. Riding in his condition and taking the chequered flag with diminished physical abilities deserve our respect and demonstrate the tenacity of our rider.’

For the Aragon event this weekend, Dominique Aegerter will be paired up with another Swiss compatriot as Robin Mulhauser fills the breach for the recovering Krummenacher.
