Terol continues to set pace in Warm-Up

Nico Terol continued to lead the way on Sunday, topping the Warm-Up ahead of the Moto2™ Gran Premio Iveco de Aragón which he will start from pole position. Tito Rabat and Jordi Torres joined their compatriot inside the top three.

Terol, who on Saturday achieved his first ever pole position in the intermediate class and has already won this season in Texas, set the morning benchmark of 1’54.103. As spectators continued to filter into MotorLand Aragón, fellow front-row starter Rabat (Tuenti HP 40) matched his grid position of second while Torres (Aspar Team Moto2) was third from Marc VDS Racing Team’s Mika Kallio and Tuenti HP 40’s title-contending Pol Espargaro, who will begin the race third on the grid.

Sunday is poised to bring a challenge for championship leader and Kallio’s teammate Scott Redding, who ended the Warm-Up in tenth place but had already qualified 13th on Saturday – his equal worst grid position of the campaign thus far. Two riders fell during Warm-Up, as Xavier Simeon (Maptaq SAG Zelos Team) and Thitipong Warokorn (Thai Honda PTT Gresini Moto2) hit trouble.

The Moto2™ race will be underway from 12:20pm local time (GMT +2).
