Spanish rider Hector Barbera will ride with the Avintia Racing team for the next two years after his contract was extended for 2015.
The extension of the contract highlights ‘the mutual confidence and excitement’ of the rider and the team in their project with Kawasaki for the forthcoming seasons, according to a team press release on Monday.
“I’m really happy to be extending my Avintia Racing deal,” states Barbera. “It’s a sign of the confidence the team has in me and also shows that I’m confortable with them. Knowing we’ll continue for the coming seasons means I’m relaxed about the future and I’m determined to keep working as hard as possible to get the best results we can. This is an interesting project and we’ll put all our efforts into pushing forward.”
Barbera will be on track with Avintia Racing in a private test at the Motorland Aragon circuit this week, on Thursday and Friday.
