Ahead of his debut Moto2™ season in 2014, Spain’s Luis Salom has undergone a successful operation in order to rectify an issue with his right wrist.
On Friday, the Tuenti HP 40 rider underwent an operation in his native Palma de Mallorca, taking advantage of the ongoing winter break as the surgery was carried out by Dr. Juan Garcias. This was performed in order to prevent discomfort caused by crashes in previous years.
In two to three days, Salom – who finished third overall in Moto3™ this year, riding for Red Bull KTM Ajo – will begin rehabilitation ahead of continued preparations prior to his first season in the intermediate tier of the World Championship.
