SAG and Rossi launch with spectacular presentation

Stop And Go Racing Team (SAG) has launched its 2014 Moto2™ campaign with a stunning presentation in the European Center of Equestrianism of Le Mans.

Revealing the Barcelona-based team’s livery with rider Louis Rossi, the show lasted for some 45 minutes and included trapeze artists, juggling, fire eating and equestrian as Rossi, SAG Team and its Kalex were watched on by 1,500 spectators and the press.

"First of all I want to thank all the people who made it possible to celebrate this event," comments Team Manager Edu Perales. "It has been one of the best presentations that the SAG Team has had in his history but more than anything I would like to thank Louis for his effort and dedication; he worked hard to prepare this amazing show and I hope this could be fruitful for him in the future. I also want to encourage the French companies to bet on this project and believe in the French riders as we do. I hope the season starts as well as it can and reach the goals proposed."

Going on to explain those goals, Rossi insists that top ten finishes are a minimum target in 2014 and that the top five should not be out of the question.

"The objective we have set is to be in the points at every race," the Frenchman declares. "Of course, if we can reach the top ten we will fight for it and if we have a good feeling with the bike and we can achieve the top five, then why not? (Xavier) Simeon was able to make it last year with the same tools I have, so is not impossible - because nothing is impossible. What we know for sure is that we need to get points in every race. Now we have to focus on the tests; we have nine days to prepare for the season with a lot of work to do on the track."

For his second season in the intermediate tier of the World Championship, Rossi makes the switch from the Tech3 outfit. His career highlight to date is from 2012, when he finished 11th overall in Moto3™ and won his home French Grand Prix for Racing Team Germany. Rossi’s 2014 team-mate Thitipong Warokorn of Thailand was not present this week, but will have a presentation of his own with A.P. Honda SAG Team in Bangkok one week ahead of the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix.
