The new Ducati is better, Iannone explains

Andrea Iannone was pleased with his initial three laps on the new Ducati as the Pramac Racing rider began his Sepang testing programme on Tuesday.

Although he has managed only a trio of circulations on the new machine thus far, the Italian – set to begin his second premier class season this year – was upbeat.

“I think the Ducati has improved and that the 2014 bike is better than the 2013 one,” he commented. “The first feeling is a little bit better. So I do think it is better, but they have not changed many things yet and for now I have still touched the settings of the bike, so I think we have many possibilities and that the 2014 Ducati is better.”

Ducati plans to split the Pramac programme this year, with Iannone racing a Factory Option machine whereas Yonny Hernandez’s bike is running to the Open tier regulations.
