Pramac Racing held their official team launch in Chianti as they unveiled their livery for the 2015 MotoGP™ season.
2015 will represent the teams 14th season in the premier class as they continue to be a Ducati factory supported team, a relationship that started back in 2006.
Pramac CEO and Team Principal of Pramac Racing Paulo Campinoti:
“It is with great pride and enthusiasm once more that we present our team for the 14th consecutive season. Last year was a very emotional one for us, and strengthened our link with Ducati shown by the fact that Andrea Iannone will ride for the factory team in 2015. This is something that is very important to us, as we want to support the factory Ducati team, and provide a place for them to develop young talent. This year we have Yonny Hernandez and the Danilo Petrucci, who have shown great desire and have already proven to be competitive, and we have brought back the colour green to our livery’s, which is a colour that is important to the Pramac brand. We are all going to be giving our best on and off the track this season, and now just have to wait for the first round in Qatar.”
Team Manager Francesco Guidotti:
“A new challenge coincides with the beginning of a new cycle. We have two talented riders who truly understand the shared philosophy and ambition of Pramac Racing. Yonny Hernandez returns for another season, after a year which was not easy, and served as more of an apprenticeship. We have helped him to get through this, and we now expect him to see a leap in quality form the rider, especially in race management. This year he is on the Ducati 14.2, which has already proven to be competitive and therefore we hope to be able to meet the goals that we have set.”
“Danilo Petrucci is a rider with potential, and already after the first test he has surprised us with his pace and given us hope for the season. It is is first experience on a factory bike, and he has yet to adjust to the new Ducati. To help him we have a put together a new team, full of experienced Ducati technicians, and already he has developed a strong bond with Pramac Racing”
“I am very happy to be a rider for Pramac Racing, especially as it is my second year with a team that I already know. This year represents a very important opportunity for me, which I have to make the most of. I hope this year to be better than I was in 2014 and to be fighting for the top ten. It means so much for me to be back working with the team, and the feeling with the technicians is already very good. As for the bike, its nice to ride a Ducati and last year was a good experience for me, but now I have to make the quantum leap that will allow me to challenge for the top 10. I am looking forward to racing.”
"I am proud to be part of the Pramac Racing Team. A team that I've always aspired to be a part of since I arrived in MotoGP. This is my fourth season in the premier class of the World Championship and I think I have gained a wealth of experience that will hopefully allow me to be able to do well. I want to thank everyone who believed in me and have given me this great opportunity, Paulo Campinoti who welcomed me, and Francesco Guidotti who introduced me to the team. A thought also goes to my family for the support they have always given me. The 2015 season will be for me the first on a factory bike. I am very excited and happy to be able to drive one of the best bikes in the world. My goal? I expect to gain as much experience as possible and use the knowledge from what I learned in the previous three years, and to match the standards set by previous riders for Pramac Racing ".
