Kent shows true pace during Moto3™ FP3

Kent shows true pace during Moto3™ FP3

Leopard Racing’s Danny Kent showed his true race pace to top the timesheets in Moto3™ FP3 at the Circuito de Jerez.

Kent left it late to set his fastest time of 1’46.497 during a frantic final five minutes to the session. His teammate Vazquez had led the way for most of the morning, before Niccolo Antonelli was the first person to go under the 1’47 mark.

This sparked the others into action, and a number of different riders briefly held the top spot during the dying moments of the session, before Kent set the fastest time of the weekend so far.

Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Fabio Quartararo followed up on his excellent performance in FP2 to finish in 2nd, just 0.198s behind Kent. The Red Bull Rookies Cup winner from last year Jorge Martin (+0.351s) was in third on the Mapfre Team Mahindra, with Quartararo’s teammate Jorge Navarro (+0.399s) in fourth.

Jakub Kornfeil (+0.457s) on the Drive M7 SIC KTM ended the session in fifth, ahead of the Red Bull KTM Ajo bike of Miguel Oliveira (+0.462s) in sixth.

Oliveira’s teammate Brad Binder is in 7th, just ahead of the RW Racing GP Honda of Livio Loi (8th), and the third KTM Red Bull Ajo machine of Karel Hanika (9th), with Juanfran Guevara rounding out the top ten.
