Bagnaia: “Personally I love the place”

Pecco Bagnaia admits he loves the Le Mans track as he looks ahead to the #FrenchGP.

Pecco Bagnaia openly admits to his affection for Le Mans, which he demonstrated last season with a new circuit record and fourth place in the race, his best result of the season. Those factors give him extra confidence for this weekend as he looks to confirm his good recent form with a first podium, especially after a positive post-race test at Jerez.

Pecco Bagnaia:
“I am convinced that the Le Mans circuit can be good for our bike. Personally I love the place, I set some really fast laps there last season, including the circuit record, and I scored my best result of the season with fourth place so hopefully we can take another step and make it onto the podium. We know that the key is to do a good job from Friday and after the test at Jerez we have a good base to work from. We feel we learnt a lot about the way the bike responds and we took a step forward with the set-up. Le Mans is a nice track but it is tough. I go there feeling confident, I know we are capable of a top result here. I have seen the weather forecast and at the moment it looks like it will be dry, which will be important because there is no grip there in the wet.”
