Barbera: “It’s possible to be the best Open bike”

Avintia Racing’s Hector Barbera looks ahead to the Indianapolis GP and believes he has what it takes to win the Open class title.

Barbera has been training hard over the summer break and feels that he can be competitive at every remaining race this season on his Open Ducati. In fact, he evens thinks he might be able to challenge some Satellite and Factory riders. Barbera currently leads the Open class with 19 points, 7 points ahead of CWM LCR Honda’s Jack Miller.

Hector Barbera: “I didn’t like too much Indianapolis but last year they made some changes on the layout and I think this would be good for our Ducati. During the last weeks I’ve been relaxing on the beach, but combining it with my physical training. I did lot of miles with the bicycle and I head into the second part of the season very strong, physically and also mentally. In Germany we went back to the place we should be, so I think it’s possible to be the best Open bike in every race and maybe try to fight with the factory
