Zarco: “We must not relax”

Zarco: “We must not relax”

Even with a sizable championship lead, Johann Zarco heads to the Octo British Grand Prix highly focused.

Ajo Motorsport’s Johann Zarco left the Czech Republic with his lead in the Moto2™ World Championship once again, he now posses a commanding 79 point lead. But Zarco is not relaxing and is determined to continue to push hard at each of the remaining rounds in 2015.

Silverstone holds fond memories for the Frenchman who claimed pole position for 2014’s Moto2™ race. He went on to finish in fourth but proved to many that he can be fast around the British circuit. He himself admits that the track does not suit him perfectly, but was still able to produce a strong result even in 2014. As always, Zarco and his Ajo Motorsport team will begin work immediately to find a strong setting for Sunday’s race.

Johann Zarco: “The Silverstone circuit brings back good memories for me. Last year I got a nice pole position, so this proves that I can be fast. We must not relax, because at every GP there are many conditioning factors. It is a very long and fast track and one of my favourites on the calendar. That's not to say that it suits me perfectly, so we must work to get as ready as possible for Sunday.”

“We are at a moment of the season in which there is still a long way to go, so we'll go for the win. I hope to have clear ideas at all times and hope we can have a good performance."
