Crutchlow: “Hopefully we can go better”

Crutchlow: “Hopefully we can go better”

MotorLand Aragon has classically suited Honda riders and Cal Crutchlow is hoping this will again hold true in 2015.

Both Silverstone and Misano resulted in disappointment for LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow, the Brit taking away just five points from the two rounds. This is not where Crutchlow or the LCR team expected to be and they’re determined to make amends in Aragon. Hondas have classically gone well at the circuit and Crutchlow himself achieved a podium finish there in 2014. Both the British and San Marino GPs have been hit by weather on Sunday morning, turning the races into a strategic battle.

Crutchlow, along with most of the MotoGP™ paddock, is hoping for a dry round in Aragon to fully understand the potential of his Honda machine at the Spanish track. Dry track time is exactly what Crutchlow needs in order to explore setting options and get his 2015 season back on track.  In all four of his visits to the Aragon circuit, Crutchlow has managed a top ten finish and is hopefully of continuing this streak should it remain dry.

Cal Crutchlow: “Hopefully we can go better than the last few Grand Prix. It’s traditionally been a good track for Honda, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be good for our package this year. We struggled at quite a few races this year, but the team are working very hard and I’m looking forward to this weekend.”

“It’s a good circuit here, I enjoy it. It’s nice and wide and there are some great corners, so hopefully we can get the bike to its full potential and I can improve and do a good job as well. The weather forecast has changed now so hopefully we get a dry race. We all want a dry race and a dry weekend really so we can work properly on the settings of the bike and do a bit of testing at the circuit which is crucial and something we need. We’ve got a few things we can try this weekend over the sessions and we’re hoping to see some improvements.”
