Navarro on top after first day of Moto3™ test in Valencia

Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Jorge Navarro ends the first day of the private Moto3™ test at Valencia on top of the timesheets.

Jorge Navarro set a 1’39.122 to finish fastest amongst the Moto3™ riders after the first of two-days private testing at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana – Ricardo Tormo. Impressively he completed exactly 100 laps, over four times race distance at the track, setting his best time on his 39th attempt. His new teammate for 2016, Aaron Canet, was forced to sit out Monday’s action as he recovers from the ankle injury sustained at the circuit in the FIM CEV Repsol at the weekend.

Navarro finished 0.781s ahead of his nearest rival Niccolo Antonelli on the Ongetta-Rivacold Honda in second, with the Italian’s teammate, Jules Danilo, (+1.061s) in third. The 2015 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup winner Bo Bendsneyder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) ended the day 1.420s off the pace of Navarro in fourth.
