Locatelli: “Day by day we are improving”

Solid improvements for young Italian Andrea Locatelli during private testing in Jerez, avoiding injury after a fall at Turn 12.

Leopard Racing completed their last private test before the official test in early March at the Jerez circuit. The two days of action in Jerez saw Andrea Locatelli run without a transponder, focusing primarily on refining the setting of his KTM RC250GP machine. Aside from technical work, it was another important test for improving synergy within the team as this will be Locatelli’s first year with leopard Racing. On both the technical and personal front progress was made and all involved are eager for not only the first official test of the year, but also the first official race.

Andrea Locatelli: “Day by day we are improving and the bike now allows me to push harder. Together with the technicians we improved some details on the KTM and now I feel very comfortable when riding. Just at the end of the day, when I was trying to push, I got down to turn 12 and ended up in the gravel. We will come back here with another strong mindset for the three-day IRTA test and use the good setting we have to push forward."
