Bradl: “We'll have some upgrades”

Aprilia head to the second race in Europe with a number of new parts after a successful test in Mugello.

The heavy braking and hard acceleration required from the Le Mans circuit could play into the hands of the Aprilia RS-GP after a successful private test in Mugello. Both Stefan Bradl and Alvaro Bautista ran important electronics tests to help the power output of the fledgling Aprilia machine. Even before the private test, the RS-GP was strong under braking. Aside from these improvements, aerodynamic changes, engine performance improvements and further fine-tuning of electronics will greet an eager Bradl at the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France. Championship points remain the aim as ever for the German who has scored points in the last three races. Le Mans has seen Bradl take a best MotoGP™ class finish of fifth back in 2012.

Stefan Bradl: “I'm very anxious to get to the second European round at Le Mans. We'll have some upgrades and this is a track that I think can really cater well to the characteristics of our bike. In terms of layout it isn't a very fast track, but there are a lot of heavy braking sections where the RS-GP has proven to perform rather well. We'll arrive at the French round ready for action. We are working well and I'm sure that we'll bring home important championship points here as well for me and for Aprilia.”
