Marc Marquez’s blog: holidays, training, and Austria

The Repsol Honda Team rider writes about his summer break – and what’s next.

We’re back! How have your holidays been?

I spent mine “close” to home, which is what I prefer. Last year I went to Ibiza, so this year I decided to head down south and spend a great week with my friends in Mojácar, Almería. It’s a great place that’s worth a visit if you’ve never been.

It was a relaxing few days, a week in total, which is always a good thing. I spent it enjoying the sun and local cuisine, and, best of all, spending some time with my friends.

"Last week I got back to training to be at my best for the Austrian GP." Marc Marquez

However, last week I got back to training to be at my best for the Austrian GP. I did some Supermoto and Dirt Track. I also did some cycling around my village with my brother Alex, and on Saturday I got to see what it’s like to be a spectator watching the Rodi Dirt Track Cup in L’Albí. As you all know, it’s a sport I’m really passionate about.

We’re already in Austria seeing as I’m going to take part in the pre-GP event. If you’re around, come along and enjoy the display we’re going to put on in the centre of the city of Graz, Austria!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK from Ainhoa Molina Muñoz.

My question is: which do you like best…sweets or chocolate?

Hi Ainhoa…haha…these questions just get better and better! Well, my favourite is…sweets! I’ll also let you in on a secret, I often eat a few during GP weekends.

Talk to you all soon!
