Dorna Sports and TV2 are delighted to announce recently launched channel Spíler TV as the new home of the MotoGP™ World Championship in Hungary, beginning in the 2017 season. MotoGP™ races and qualifying sessions will be shown live on the new channel for even more viewers across the country – with free-to-air channel TV2 also set to broadcast an additional highlights programme providing a roundup of all the best action of the weekend, following each race.

The TV2 group has one of the largest commercial television portfolios in Hungary, and has recently implemented its biggest portfolio extension and programme investment for the last 15 years – including the recent launch of the new Spíler TV channel. The channel provides premium sport content throughout the country, including the FA Premier League – and now the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship.

“We are delighted to welcome the future seasons of MotoGP on Spíler TV, which encompasses the most thrilling races of the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP which will be covered extensively to the delight of our viewers and distribution partners," said Balázs Zelenyánszki, the chief editor of Spíler TV.

“We are thrilled to start a new cooperation with TV2, so that MotoGP™ fans will be able to follow all the action live from each GP on new Spiler TV from 2017,” added Manel Arroyo, Managing Director of the Media and TV Area of Dorna Sports.  “For free to air audiences, we are also delighted that there will be a highlights programme available soon after the GP has finished.  We look forward to starting this new cooperation with one of the largest media groups in Hungary, as MotoGP™ continues to grow and flourish.”

The 2017 season will get underway at Losail International Circuit in Qatar next year, as the paddock prepare for another season of high-octane action - only on Spíler TV.
