Redding hoping for a top 6

FP4 crash, P7 on the grid and looking to move forward

Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Yakhnich) has had a positive start to his home GP at Silverstone Circuit, with good pace throughout the weekend at what has traditionally proved one of his best circuits. The Brit gained direct entry into Q2 qualifying with an impressive performance in FP3, before he lost control of his Ducati in FP4 and the number one machine was too damaged to to used again in qualifying. Redding says his aim for Sunday's race is the top 6 - but the top 8 would also be a good result around the 5.9km Silverstone Circuit.

Scott Redding (P7): "The crash was not a problem for me, but the bike was severely damaged. It was a shame because we found ourselves in qualifying with only one bike and it is clear that then you're a little concerned not to crash again. I am happy for having finished seventh in Q2 though, and especially because I feel that we are improving steadily in terms of performance. I think tomorrow we can have a good race. It would be fine to have a top 8 but I hope to stay in the top six."
