Pedrosa back in the battle at Silverstone

3-time world champion makes big progress in the British GP

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) has had a tough middle part of the season in 2016, with the rider from Sabadell finding grip and setup difficult with the new Michelin rubber and electronics package introduced. Pedrosa, who has won a race in every single year of his premier class career, bounced back at Silverstone as he got closer to the front and cut the gap significantly - despite the cooler conditions that have proved most difficult for the former 125 and twice 250 world title winner. Coming home P5 after a solid ride in the front group, Pedrosa will be looking to build on the big leap forward as the paddock heads for Misano.

Dani Pedrosa (P5): "It has been a difficult weekend due to the weather, the cold temperatures, wind...the track didn't have much grip. In the race I chose the soft-soft tyre combination and at the end in the last ten laps I suffered a lot, although when I made the decision I knew that could happen. On the other hand, from lights out I had more grip because the tyres warmed up quicker. The positive is that we were in front in the group, and now we just have to concentrate on staying on this path. We’ve taken a step forward in terms of results and have regained a little more confidence, especially entering the corners. There are still some things that we need to improve, but we had a decent race and set some more-reasonable times. "
