Pedrosa: "Some riders in front don't have the same pace"

Repsol Honda rider looking for a good launch off the line to get in the hunt

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) has made big leaps forward during the Gran Premio TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, but the Sabadell-born rider found Q2 a little frustrating as it left him down the order in P8, after having been a regular in the top three all weekend. With excellent race pace and suffering no consequences from a front-end crash in FP3, the 3-time world champion has a clear goal: good launch, overtake, and pedal to the metal to get into his threateningly-fast race rhythm with the frontrunners - historically having proved a rocket-starter.

Dani Pedrosa (P8): "We need to focus on tomorrow. I think we've worked well this weekend throughout the practice sessions and the rhythm is not so bad, so we need to focus on that. We need to make a good start and try to make a good first part of the laps, and try to overtake because there are riders in front that don't have the same pace. Lorenzo for example is at the front and normally he is very fast in the beginning, so we need to try and do that and stay super-focused - just try and do our race."
