Liqui Moly renews with Dorna Sports until 2020

Exclusive Lubricant Supplier to continue to partner FIM MotoGP™ World Championship for three more years

German lubricant giant Liqui Moly and the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship are set to continue their successful partnership after renewing their current contract to the end of 2020. Previously set to expire in 2017, the renewal sees Liqui Moly remain the Exclusive Lubricant Supplier to Moto2™ and Moto3™ for another three years, and the brand will retain it’s trackside presence on advertising hoardings throughout the season.

Founded in Ulm, Germany in 1957, Liqui Moly is a global giant in lubricants and makes a perfect partner for the attention to detail and precision of the world’s fastest motorcycle racing championship, MotoGP™. With this new deal, Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams will continue to use Liqui Moly's precision German engineering as an integral part of their push for glory – racing past the Liqui Moly name at each venue of the season.

Peter Baumann, Marketing Director, Liqui Moly: “Since we started our cooperation with DORNA, everything went well for our organisation. We´re proud to see our brand related to the most interesting events in global motorsports and it´s also a great feeling seeing all Moto2 and Moto3-teams of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship using our products in and on their bikes. For us, it was a logical consequence to extend this succesfull cooperation for another 3 years.”

Pau Serracanta, Managing Director, Commercial Area, Dorna Sports: “We are proud to continue our relationship with a company such as Liqui Moly, who are a global player in providing one of the most important yet unseen aspects of top level competition. Another three years of partnership make Dorna and MotoGP™ proud to see the Liqui Moly name trackside at each event of the coming seasons.”
