Redding starts up 2017 in seventh

Redding(power)! Pramac rider impresses well within the top ten

After a difficult Warm Up at the #QatarGP, Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Racing) converted an impressive P6 start into an even more impressive P7 result at the flag – just losing out to Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) in the fight for top Independent Team rider after a good start.

The Brit says he would have been happy with tenth – making seventh a very good day at the office indeed.

SR45, P7: “I’m really happy. I had a good race especially after the difficulties of the warm up. I got off a good start but I had to close the throttle due to Zarco’s dangerous move which cost me a lot. In the second part of the race I was lapping well even though I was not able to take the first Independent award. I would have been happy to make the Top 10 so this is a good result and I want thank the team for the work done and for always believing in me. See you in Argentina!”
