#AmericasGP: Twitter Highlights

The best of the Twittersphere from the Circuit of the Americas

The Americas GP was another incredible weekend of MotoGP™, and as always Twitter was awash with awesomeness. We've collected the best from the weird, wacky, and wonderful Texas - because there’s nowhere else we would have rather been… oh, wait. Actually...

You may have seen we went a bit viral over the weekend. We say “we”...but really it was #NotTooTall Loris Baz, with the save of the weekend!

One of F1’s finest reckons he knows the reason why Baz managed to pull it off…

But crucially, where did this leave the title of the ‘King of Saves’ in MotoGP™?

Baz’s antics even inspired young Thai Moto3™ rider Nakarin Atiratphuvapat to give us viral content too! Cheers lads. Glad you’re ok too.

Speaking of commitment to the cause - round of applause to these two dudes, styling up the paddock all weekend long:

Meanwhile, we remembered it’s been a while since Mattia Pasini has made it into Parc Fermé… #etiquette

Tweeting of cat memes… going into the weekend, the talk was all about Marquez vs Viñales, could Maverick stop Marc at his ‘second home’…so something like this:

Another hot topic was - as always - Viñales & Rossi’s relationship, prompting one fan to ask: if Maverick is, well, Maverick… who does that make Rossi?

I think we’re all agreed that the social media questions in the Press Conference are the perfect addition - providing more intrigue, personality and most importantly, laughs! Check out this gem pitched to Rossi after qualifying:

“I’m already scared” - said VR46. His answer? Just about everything you’d expect from the 9-time World Champion...

So this happened:

Damn right, Richard!

Anyway, with racing all said and done, it was really great to see Romano Fenati back to his best… #OldSkool

D’ya know what else was great to see? This:

Finally, COTA Twitter gave us exclusive insight into how Viñales may have departed the venue…and that's us over and out too. See you in Jerez!
