Baz: “Le Mans is a track that should suit us better”

Home hero ready to rumble at the French GP

Loris Baz (Reale Avinitia Racing) is one of a tricolore of French riders lining up in Le Mans for their home race, and the Avintia rider is ready to take on the challenge of the home spotlight as he looks to continue his impressive points-scoring run.

Just losing out to teammate Hector Barbera in a last lap battle in Jerez, Le Mans could see Baz write a different ending – with hard braking points that work in the Frenchman’s favour.

Loris Baz: “Home GPs are always something very special, and it’s always exciting to race in front of the people who come to this race because it’s something very special. There are also a lot of different things happening and distractions throughout the weekend and all my sponsors will be in Le Mans – so it’s important to be well-organised to be able to focus well on the race. The circuit has been resurfaced, so that will change things a lot, too. Jerez wasn’t great but Le Mans is a circuit that could suit us better, because there are hard braking areas and that’s one of my strong points with this bike. So I hope I can have a good race and dedicate it to my fans.”
